Press Release
April 11, 2024
The Arakan Rohingya Alliance (ARNA) extends its heartiest Eid Mubarak to the entire Rohingya Community on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. ARNA also conveys sincere good wishes to the Muslim Ummah as they celebrate this auspicious day.
We bow before Him in all humility after fulfilling our commitment during the month of Ramadan. After Ramadan’s days of worship and fasting, Eid-ul-Fitr is a special time for Muslims to come together as a community in prayer, hospitality and generosity.
This year the suffering of our Palestinian Brothers and Sisters in Gaza will mean many Muslims will mark with sorrow. Likewise the plight of Palestinians, our Rohingya brothers and sisters have been enduring all kinds of systemic persecution for decades hence the suffering of the Rohingya people are equally as appalling to the suffering of our Palestinian Brothers and Sisters. This is a difficult and anxious time for many, and we hope our Muslim Ummah can find some measure of comfort and strength among our family and friends and the expression of our faith.
